Stutterin’ Jimmy Enos came onto the Des Moines scene by performing at jam sessions at the legendary club, Blues on Grand. Jimmy has spent his life dogged by a debilitating stutter. As a result of this persistent handicap, he was often misjudged. He spent many years in a struggle to be understood and recognized for the intelligent individual he is. That handicap, exacerbated by a crippling addiction to alcohol and drugs, would have defeated most people.  Jimmy, instead, emerged from a self-prescribed rehab on a chicken farm, to become the spiritually motivated master of his own destiny. The undercurrent of Jimmy’s songwriting is his awareness and acceptance of his past, present and future. These songs are open to interpretation; like life, they are simple, yet deceptively complex. They create a flexible structure on which the Goosebumps can build the layers of improvisation for which they have come to be known.

The Job

Stutterin Jimmy and the Goosebumps did not have a website or a great deal of online presence apart from a Facebook page. This was an issue because they wanted to start promoting their shows on a whole new level, such as custom hats, as soon as possible. In order to showcase their talents, and build a following, they contacted Driving Cap. A fast website was super important to the guys, and it had to be updateable on a regular basis, with links to their social media. With these challenges in mind, Driving Cap started the build!

The Results

Stutterin Jimmy and the Goosebumps had gone thru several different website looks, however, they did not really capture the vibe they wanted. We gave the guys some fantastic insight as to their plans for the overall feel of the website. Something clean, yet focused, and very user-friendly. They loved the idea and gave Driving Cap Digital a bit of flexibility in the design and launch process.
Content development, including copywriting, was done during the website’s building process, so content added to the website was appropriate and helped reach timeline goals for the build. Simultaneously, our SEO Gurus developed keywords and imagery to boost the performance of the site on all search engines.
The end result was a fast, mobile-friendly site, with merchandising capabilities, that exceeded every goal for the band.
